When Cathy and Charlie ride the Ferris wheel, there's a point of view shot. It's actually the view from the back of the seat, not the front. The Ferris wheel pulls the characters backwards and the Merry-go-round can be seen behind them as the sit down. If it were the point of view of the characters, you would see the framework of the wheel.
