Goofs

Buford Anchors had given Shub five $20 bills, for work he had done. Later, Lucianne tells Shub that she wants $50 to keep a secret. Shub takes out his money, offers her half, and says, "Here's $50." (How could he give her $50, when he didn't have any $10 bills, only $20 bills?) See more »

Quotes

Silas: I had an idea that no-good, sneakin' river-rat, Rafe Anchors, might have been playin' Peepin' Tom around here.
Honey Bee: I ain't seen Rafe all day.
Silas: [emphatic] And you better not, no time, never, no more!
Honey Bee: [pleading] But, Pa, how am I ever gonna get married if you don't let no boy come a-courtin' me?
Silas: Courtin' and a-wooin' brings dallyin' and doin'. I don't aim for you to have no woods-colt by that dirty river trash.
Honey Bee: [passionately] I'm just a-itchin' ta get married!
Silas: [sympathetic] I know you're a-itchin', Honey Bee.
