I guess I wasn't alone when I watched this movie late one night on the Disney Channel. I see by the reviews here that it made a lasting impression on a few of us. I might have seen it when it was on originally. It was a ritual for our family to watch the Disney show on Sunday nights at my grandmothers place. And this was such a great surprise. I loved the story and the music and the photography. The dog actors were perfect. I recognized the story from the book Hurry Home Candy. But I also owned a book called Little Lost Dog with a Corgi in it. I think they just put the two together. And it works. The ending will make you grab a box of tissues. I wish Disney channel would start showing the old stuff again late at night. After finding this film, I became a regular late night Disney viewer. Disney should have enough stuff to have a Vintage Disney Channel.
