Sylvester Stallone says he has no involvement with Bollywood Rambo remake

Back in May it was announced that filmmaker Siddharth Anand and martial arts expect Tiger Shroff are teaming up for an official Bollywood remake of First Blood, which is set to begin production in 2018 under the title of Rambo [take a look at the teaser poster here].

Amid rumours that Sylvester Stallone will be involved with the production, the action icon has spoken to Deadline to clarify that “any involvement in Tiger Sharoff’s Rambo is not happening, under any circumstances” although he has nothing against the project, and “I wish them well on their own.”

Stallone had ambitions to reprise the role of John J. Rambo for a fifth movie, Rambo: Last Blood, although the project failed to materialise. He was also linked to a Rambo TV series which would have paired the Vietnam veteran up with his son, but declined to get involved, leaving the show dead in the water.

Meanwhile, back in October of last year,

Rambo Reboot Is Happening Without Sylvester Stallone

Rambo Reboot Is Happening Without Sylvester Stallone
The Rambo franchise is coming back with some new blood! Unfortunately, it looks like the old blood is getting left behind this time around. Nu Image and Millennium Films are reportedly working on a fifth entry in the Rambo series, titled Rambo: New Blood. The movie may be paying a bit of homage to First Blood in name, but star Sylvester Stallone won't be back this time around.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news and confirmed that the studio is now treating Rambo as more of a "James Bond" type franchise. That seems to imply they will occasionally revamp the series with a new actor as long as it is bringing in money at the box office. Rambo: New Blood will be the first attempt at this. No specific plot details for the movie were revealed in this initial report.

Brooks McLaren has been tapped to write Rambo: New Blood

Sylvester Stallone Will Not Make Another ‘Rambo’ Sequel
2008’s Rambo said everything it needed to about its titular character. Rumours of Rambo fighting Isis in Rambo: Last Blood debunked

A report emerged earlier today claiming that the upcoming Rambo: Last Blood would see Sylvester Stallone taking his Vietnam veteran to Syria to tackle Isis for the fifth and final instalment in the Rambo series, with the action icon allegedly breaking the news at Comic-Con over the weekend.

However, it turns out that the original quotes attributed to Stallone were fasle, as his agent has officially debunked the rumour, telling Manly Movie that: “Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event. This is not an accurate report.”

Previous reports on Last Blood have suggested that Last Blood will see Rambo facing off against a Mexican cartel in what Stallone has described as “his No Country for Old Men.”

Sylvester Stallone will not be battling Isis in the next Rambo sequel, despite inaccurate reports circulating the Internet. However, a representative for Stallone denied those claims to Rolling Stone, noting that the actor was not even at the event. "Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event," the rep says.

From Crust To ‘Creed’ – Stallone Delivers Michael B. Jordan Sucker Punch

Viewers in the UK who woke up thinking “Did I really see Sylvester Stallone in an ad for Warburtons bread last night?” may be reassured to know Sly is still working the day job. His Instagram account has played host to a production still of him in action with Michael B. Jordan for upcoming Rocky spin-off Creed. Here’s the pic:

The plot sees Jordan as the son – named Adonis! – of Carl Weathers’ legendary opponent track down his late father’s old sparring partner Rocky Balboa (Stallone) so he can be trained up as slugger par excellence. As you may remember Weathers exited the franchise during part IV back in the mid-Eighties, when a fledgling Dolph Lundgren beat him to a fatal pulp.

Ryan Coogler is directing from his and Aaron Covington’s script. Stallone is also back on production duties with Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff. The movie is set for release in November.

Stallone Reveals Rambo 5 Will Shoot In 2015

Stallone Reveals Rambo 5 Will Shoot In 2015
After years of will-he-won't-he development stories, Sylvester Stallone has kicked off 2015 with the announcement that he will shortly be revisiting 'Nam-vet one-man-army John Rambo. Taking to the Twitters, he revealed that the fifth Rambo movie will almost certainly also be the final one, since he's confirmed its title as Last Blood. We've been here several times before, since the bluntly-titled fourth Rambo in 2008. The fifth film was originally touted as a south-of-the-border cartel kidnap thriller. Then it went weirdly sci-fi, then back to its original form. And then it became nothing. "The character came full circle [in the fourth film]; he went home," Sly told us in 2010. "For Rambo to go on another adventure might be misinterpreted as a mercenary gesture and not necessary."Then in 2011 came the news that Conan The Barbarian writer Sean Hood had turned in a screenplay called The Last Stand, which Hood described as a small-town thriller in the vein of First Blood,

Rambo: Last Blood, Creed and Scarpa next for Sylvester Stallone

New Rocky and Rambo films kick off Sylvester Stallone's 2015 shooting schedule...

Sylvester Stallone is set to be a very busy man in 2015, with a trio of new projects set to film.

Stallone has confirmed on his occasionally-updated Twitter feed that he's heading off to Philadelphia to reprise the role of Rocky Balboa in spin-off movie Creed. That's the one where Michael B Jordan will be playing the grandson of Apollo Creed (who was, of course, played by Carl Weathers in the Rocky films). Rocky Balboa will become the new Creed's trainer in the film.

Then, he's making Last Blood, which is expected to be the final film in the Rambo series. No further details are available on that one yet. It's still unclear, therefore, whether Stallone will be directing Rambo: Last Blood as well.

Finally - at least for now - he's then going to move on to Scarpa,

Sylvester Stallone Confirms Rambo: Last Blood

  • TheMovieBit
Rumours swirled around a few months ago that John Rambo would be once again dismembering an army of faceless goon in delightfully brutal fashion in Rambo: Last Blood. Well, Sylvester Stallone has confirmed on Twitter that Last Blood will indeed be the title (though the actor has called it his No Country for Old Men), and while nothing is known of the plot, it will begin production after Creed, Ryan Coogler's (Fruitvale Station) Rocky spin-off following Apollo Creed's grand son Adonis (Michael B. Jordan), and featuring Stallone reprising his role of The Italian Stallion. With those two movies wrapped, Stallone will then begin work on Scarpa, based on the life of former mob enforcer Gregory Scarpa.

Sylvester Stallone Says 'Rambo: Last Blood' to Shoot After 'Creed'

This past summer, we learned that Sylvester Stallone may be returning to one of his iconic characters as John Rambo in what would be the fifth installment in the action franchise. Now that's been confirmed as Stallone took to Twitter to mention that he's heading to Philadelphia to start shooting the Rocky spin-off Creed, in which he'll star with Michael B. Jordan. And then afterwards, he mentioned that he has a gangster movie coming up called Scarpa, based on real-life mobster Greg Scarpa, but before that he'll shoot Rambo: Last Blood. So yes, that's the real title of what will likely end Stallone's run of this character. Read on! Here are the posts from Sylvester Stallone on Twitter about what he's up to now: Going to Philly to start the film Creed.... What a great idea— Sylvester Stallone (@TheSlyStallone) December 28, 2014 Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after Last Blood Rambo.

Sylvester Stallone to Shoot Rambo: Last Blood After Creed

If you're wondering what's going on with Sylvester Stallone's fifth Rambo movie, you might be happy to know that he still plans on making it. A few months ago it was revealed that the film would be called Rambo: Last Blood, and that he might be directing it. In a couple of recent tweets talking about his upcoming projects, the actor said,

"Going to Philly to start the film Creed.... What a great idea""Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after Last Blood Rambo..."

I don't know if this means the title of the film will actually Last Blood: Rambo, but it does confirm that Last Blood is the sub-title for the movie. Seems fitting for a franchise that began with First Blood. Stallone doesn't say when exactly he is planning to shoot Rambo, but it obviously won't happen until after he's finished with his Rocky spinoff film,

Stallone is currently filming his role in mob story Scarpa and Rocky spinoff Creed is in pre-production.

In an interview with Vulture back in August, he said he was already getting into shape to reprise the role.

"I'm starting to work out. I'm going to be appropriately vicious and all that stuff, but intellectual. A killer with a heart."

He continued: "Smart, yet stupid. Tall, yet short. Broad, but thin. You know what I mean. We're going to try to cover all the boundaries."

His next project is animated film Animal Crackers,

Sylvester Stallone Updates on Next Projects with ‘Creed,’ ‘Rambo: Last Blood’ and ‘Scarpa’

Sly is going to keep busy in 2015.

On Sylvester Stallone’s Twitter page, he tweeted his upcoming projects next year with the Rocky spin-off film “Creed,” and then “Rambo: Last Blood.” And then to wrap things up in “Scarpa,” a film based on the real life Greg Scarpa.

With “Creed,” this spin-off to the “Rocky” films will follow Apollo Creed’s grandson with Rocky training him to be a boxer. Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers, boxed Rocky in “Rocky” and “Rocky II.” In “Rocky III,” Apollo trained Rocky to fight a younger James “Clubber” Lang. So the new film sounds like Rocky is returning the favor.

He announced the completion with the script with a tweet. See the photo below, but don’t flip and zoom in if you want to spoil the ending to “Creed” for yourself.

There were rumors about another Rambo movie and now it's confirmed with “Rambo: Last Blood.

Sylvester Stallone To Tackle Gangster Flick Scarpa After Rambo: Last Blood

As one of the reigning action heroes of the 70s and 80s that’s still going strong, Sylvester Stallone has proven time and time again that age ain’t nothing but a number. If you thought he’d be cashing in his chips after The Expendables 3 turned out to be a dud (its regrettable PG-13 rating being something that Stallone himself wasn’t happy with), think again.

Taking to Twitter to outline his future forecast, the actor posted three short Tweets to inform fans of his upcoming works, including Rambo: Last Blood.

Sylvester Stallone Reveals Rambo: Last Blood Is Happening

Sylvester Stallone wrapped up The Expendables (we think) and now has his sights set on returning his more reliable characters. First up is the Rocky spin-off Creed, which will focus on the grandson (Michael B. Jordan) of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) being mentored by Rocky Balboa (Stallone). It’s from Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogle, so it’s an interesting jump from the streets to the ring. Will it feel like a Rocky movie? I hope not. I loved Rocky Balboa and thought it ended the series perfectly; if this is happening, it should be all about Creed.

A couple days ago, Stallone tweeted out some insight into what he’s working on including another Rambo flick:

Stallone Reveals "Creed" Ending, "Rambo 5" Title

Sylvester Stallone has offered brief updates on his upcoming film projects via his Twitter account this week, in the process dropping one or two surprises.

Stallone confirms he's next headed to Philadelphia to start shooting the "Rocky" spin-off feature "Creed". He also posted what appears to be the last page of the film's script in a photo, a shot which gives away both the ending and a key subplot that comes up through the film. You can read that at your own risk by clicking here. Ryan Coogler is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Covington.

Perhaps the biggest news though is that the reported fifth and final film in the "Rambo" series seems to have a proper full title - "Last Blood: Rambo". There's no indication when it would begin filming, but it does look like it will be shot before Stallone goes to
