Goofs

When Tweety installs the barbed wire on the pole supporting his nest, he is seen nailing it to the post just underneath the nest. In the next scene, when Sam is using the corset trampoline to try to reach Tweety, the barbed wire is seen at the bottom of the pole, but not at the top. See more »

Sam: am I embarrassed. Uh, from your point of view, I'm cognizant, uh, of how it must look, y'know? I was, like, uh, worried, y'know, that this little fella might be gettin' thirsty, or something like that, y'know? So,
[laughs]
Sam: uh, I thought I would just take a look and see if he's okay, y'know?

"trick"s of the trade
24 October 2006 | by lee_eisenbergSee all my reviews

We all know that Sylvester spends most of his life trying to trap Tweety. And we all know that he never succeeds. Well, in this case, there's another cat - named Sam - trying to get Tweety. So, most of the cartoon consists of Sylvester and Sam trying to get Tweety, but each cat's plans interfere with the other's. If it's basically a one-joke premise, then at least they come up with a new manifestation every couple of seconds. And the end is truly the highlight. So, maybe it's not the best Looney Tunes cartoon ever produced, but you could always count on Friz Freleng (or Chuck Jones) to direct something worth seeing; this one certainly is. A good time, if nothing else.

Yeah, it is complicated being a bird.
