Quotes

Inspektor Klaus: Do you have an explanation how the painter came to that stolen bag?
Herr Buchsbaum: Just as he told you. I lost the bag on the street.
Inspektor Klaus: You don't seriously think that you can convince me with that.
Herr Buchsbaum: Why not? It happens that you lose something, a hat, an umbrella, a bag.
Inspektor Klaus: But not a bag with a million in it.
Herr Buchsbaum: A bag is a bag.

The excellent romance
2 October 1998 | by eastbearSee all my reviews

One of the best romances of our youth. Even in the awful

Russian translation it charmed. The actor work of the leading duet, especially Nicole Courcel, is on the high level. The high level of the film in whole is the more remarkable, taking into account that a literary precursor (story, on which the screenplay was based) is rather weak.
