Wonderful

This is a story about a village in Vojvodina (the northern part of Serbia) with two priests. It was adapted from the great novel of Stevan Sremac of the same name. And, just for the record, it is the first Yugoslav movie in color.

The main thing about this movie is its humor. I'm afraid that non-Serbian-speaking folks wouldn't be able to appreciate it, because it depends heavily on the language. But if you do understand, I can guarantee that you'll wear a smile on your face throughout the movie.

Another thing is Soja Jovanović's incredible talent to capture Vojvodinian way of life. Everywhere you look you see authentic images. She also made a TV series with different set of actors 25 years later, and it is just as good.
