Fans of the Heimatfilm will have a ball with this one, but for others the one dimensional characters and the hardly exciting smuggle story demand a lot of perseverance; at least there are not so many illogical situations as is usual the case in the Heimatfilm and it refrains itself from overt sentimentality.
