With the help of a smooth talking tomcat, a family of Parisian felines set to inherit a fortune from their owner try to make it back home after a jealous butler kidnaps them and leaves them in the country.
Lady, a golden cocker spaniel, meets up with a mongrel dog who calls himself the Tramp. He is obviously from the wrong side of town, but happenings at Lady's home make her decide to travel with him for a while. This turns out to be a bad move, as no dog is above the law.Written by

Darling's real name is never used, even her friends call her "darling" at the baby shower. It is unclear if that's her name or an endearment. See more »
The beaver exclaims, "Listen, listen sonny, you realize every second, seventy centimeters of water is wasted over that spillway?" Water is supposed to be measured in volume, not length, so it would be more technically accurate to have used "cubic centimeters" in place of "centimeters". [Giving Darling a hatbox]
It's for you, Darling. Merry Christmas.
Oh, Jim, dear. It's the one I was admiring, isn't it? Trimmed with ribbons?
Well, it *has* a ribbon.
[the box is opened; inside is a puppy wearing a ribbon]
Oh, how sweet.
You like her, Darling?
[hugging the puppy]
Oh, I love her. What a perfectly beautiful little Lady.

If this film isn't a classic, I don't know what is! This is a great story about two dogs who fall in love, although they're from different sides of the railroad tracks, so to speak. These dogs act more human than many humans do. It's heartwarming, humorous and just plain clean family entertainment! This is a film that has stood the test of time and passed with flying colors. This is one to BUY and keep! So what are you waiting for? Go buy it!
