Trama

Bugs will not bend to the threats of Pirate (Yosemite) Sam.

Yosemite Sam is a notorious pirate, sailing the high seas. He suddenly spots an unprotected ship, and decides to take it over. He fires his cannon and orders the captain and crew to surrender. Everyone on board abandons ship except for Bugs, who is in a box of carrots, helping himself. Bugs answers Sam, and when ordered to surrender, he responds, "Surrender? Never heard of the word, so you'll have to try to take the ship!"

A battle ensues, where Bugs and Sam fire their respective ship's cannons at each other. Bugs manages to blast Sam through a porthole, and when Sam tries to do the same, he is blasted again. A bit later in the battle, Bugs sneaks on board Sam's ship by scaling the mast and walking across to the other ship, and fires Sam's own cannon at him, causing him to dissolve into a mass of powder. Sam tries to get even by sneaking on board and firing Bugs' own cannon at him, but the cannon backfires and sends him crashing through the hull.

Next, Sam tries to swing over on a rope, but he charges right into the barrel of a cannon, and is shot as he tries to retreat. Sam then pins a sail to a barrel of TNT, lights the fuse, and blows on it to propel it towards Bugs' ship. Bugs uses a fan to blow the TNT right back at Sam's ship, where it explodes. Finally, Sam tries to swim over to Bugs' ship and use a powder bomb to blow it up, but he is eaten by a shark while swimming, and the bomb explodes inside the shark, reducing it to a skeleton.

Sam makes it aboard Bugs' ship, discovering Bugs in the crow's nest. He tries to cut Bugs down with an axe, but ends up flattened instead. Bugs scales the mast, and finds himself cornered by Sam. He escapes by diving into the water below. Sam follows, but bounces off a rock, knocking him out and sending him splashing into the sea.

The two ships are now next to each other, enabling Bugs to throw a match into the powder room of Sam's ship when he makes it back on board. Sam runs down and grabs the match before it can do any damage, and warns Bugs that if he tries to do that again, he won't go after the match. Bugs throws another match into the powder room, and Sam attempts to restrain himself from going down. He gives up, and tries to retrieve the match, but he is too late, and the ship explodes.

Sam lands on the deck of Bugs' ship, and throws one of Bugs' matches into the powder room. Sam encourages Bugs to go get the match before the ship explodes, but Bugs refuses. A terrified Sam jumps overboard and swims away as fast as he can. Bugs opens the door of the room, revealing it to be a talcum powder room. A confused Bugs cannot understand why Sam was so worried, saying, "Talcum powder doesn't explode." At that moment, though, the ship explodes, sending Bugs flying into the air. On his way down, he remarks, "I could be wrong, you know..." Iris out.
