When the police give Mom Lubeck Rosa's autopsy results, she reads it aloud, and it says that "Rosa was two months' pregnant". That marks one of the first times, if not the first time, the word "pregnant" was mentioned in a film; the word was considered too "suggestive" for audiences to hear, and a pregnant woman was usually referred to as "expecting" or "in the family way".
