Martin The Cobbler by Tolstoy (not the claymation version)
raceblind7 December 2005
This is the original Martin The Cobbler by Leo Tolstoy. It is an old black and white that I remember seeing in church. Very inspirational and emotional for its time If you are not aware of the story, it is based on the story: Where Love Is, God Is by Leo Tolstoy. It is about a cobbler that dreams that Christ will come the next day. While waiting for Christ to come, he ends up helping people in need.

There is a clamation version of this that was made in 1977. While the claymation version is OK, live actors give it a different perspective.

I would love to find a copy of this. Too bad no one converts old movies like this to DVD.
