The first woman seen is a maid, Olga, who is played by none other than The Beaver's mother, Barbara Billingsley (Leave It to Beaver (1957)).
The treating psychiatrist, Dr. Caroline Canford, is played by a future First Lady, Nancy Reagan (credited under her pre-marriage maiden name, Nancy Davis). Nancy had met First Lady Grace Coolidge when she was seven.
MGM borrowed Gigi Perreau from Samuel Goldwyn, Zachary Scott from Warner Bros., and Kristine Miller from Paramount for this film.
This film failed at the box office, resulting in a loss to MGM of $330,000 (about $4.22M in 2023) according to studio records.
