- Riding to their cattle ranch, Dave Taylor (Tim Holt) and his partner Chiro Rafferty (Richard Martin) rout a band of Indians led by Red Fox (Noah Beery, Jr.) who are attempting to rob Ellen Wheeler (Nan Leslie) and her uncle Inky (Lee "Lasses" White) , a roving printer, heading for Boulder, a frontier town, to start a newspaper. The Indians are starving as results of a crooked deal between a wagon-train operator Chip Carter and Morty Hutchins (Tom Keene), the Indian Agent. Turquoise (Claudia Drake), wife of Red Fox, leaves her infant son with Dave and Chito so the baby will get food. Hutchins realizes this may lead to the unmasking of his crooked dealings and sends henchman Nichols (Robert Bray) to get the papoose but is unsuccessful. Dave and Chito start to town with the infant but are trailed by Red Fox. Dave sends Chito ahead with the baby while he captures Red Fox and persuades him to come to town and tell his story to Inky. Carter ambushes Dave and Red Fox and wounds the Indian but misses Dave, and the latter is falsely accused of the shooting and is jailed. Out on bail, Dave goes to the reservation and finds the Indians making war medicine and begs Red Fox to hold his people in check. At Carter's food-warehouse, Dave and Chito find Hutchins and Nichols in conference with Carter. While Citio draws the villains outside, Dave gets into the office and confiscates papers that reveal their crooked dealings. He and Chito get away in a wild gun battle. Carter kills Hutchins and frames Dave for the murder.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
