A stranger finds his way to a boarding house where four women show interest on him.Suopursu Kukkii (1947) is a Toivo Särkkä film.It's based on Matti Hälli's novel from 1943.Rauli Tuomi gives a great performance in the lead.Ritva Arvelo, who turned 91 last month, is fantastic as Inga Silver.Ghedi Lönnberg is marvelous as Mirjam Rantala.Eeva-Kaarina Volanen is wonderful as Annikki Kivi.Salli Karuna is very good as Mrs. Soisalo.Teuvo Puro, who was our first movie director, is great as Silver.Rauha Rentola gives a terrific performance as Kirsti.Arvo Lehesmaa is great as Dr. Rantala.Eino Kaipainen is very good as Johansson.Unto Salminen does very good work as Einar Kinos.Wilho Ilmari works as Narrator.This movie does seem pretty dated today, but there's some amount of eroticism in the air, the 40's way, which makes it more fascinating.And it reminds me of the approaching summer to watch Ritva Arvelo swimming to the boat with Tuomi.
