Three names in the cast list went on to much bigger things in the 1960s and 1970s. Robert Blake became a star of films and television, Blake Edwards became a major director and Robert J. Wilke--barely visible here in the non-speaking role of the sheriff's deputy who is shot during the hold-up--became a very in-demand character actor.
