On April 1st, 1997, Cartoon Network ran this cartoon for twelve hours straight (6 AM to 6 PM) as an April Fool's prank.
Screwy and Meathead both stop to drink a "Coo-Coo Cola." In the days before product placement, this was still an unmistakable nod to Coca-Cola, right down to the special icebox to cool the drinks, the bright red color and the stylized script.
A censored version of this cartoon can be found on the Warner "Katharine Hepburn 100th Anniversary Collection" DVD set, in the Special Features section for "Dragon Seed." A brief blackface parody by Meathead Dog was censored.
The sign of Moron Manor features a depiction of Napoleon's famous hat. Napoleon, of course, was considered quite eccentric in his time.
The title is a play on the phrase or term 'happy-go-lucky', meaning carefree or unconcerned about the future.
