Plot Summary

Daffy challenges duckhunter Elmer to a boxing match, rigged in his favor with the collusion of the duck referee. In the stands, Elmer's dog Larrimore suspects that something funny is going on, but he's drowned out by Daffy's all-duck cheering section. Written by Paul Penna

Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia Daffy is called by his name in this cartoon, one of the few times he's addressed as such. See more »
Goofs Laramore says, "There's something awfully screwy about this fight, or my name isn't Laramore --- and it isn't...!" This statement is invalid in two ways: first, his name actually IS "Laramore", and second, if that indeed isn't the hound's real name, then that would mean that the boxing match was in fact NOT suspicious in how it was being run, which of course it very much was. Quotes Daffy Duck: Sportsman? Listen, sport! You don't know the meaning of fair play! What chance has a poor helpless fluffy little winged creature like me against you?
[taking away each item from Elmer as he mentions it]
Daffy Duck: You, with your bullets, and your shotgun, and your knife, and your duck call, and your hunting coat, and your hunting dog, and all kinds of stuff like that there! What protection have I got? A bulletproof vest, I suppose!
[parts his feathers to reveal just that]
Daffy Duck: Heh-heh. How did that get there?
