Did You Know?
Trivia | There were tensions between Scott and Wayne during filming. Scott's contract with Universal entitled him to billing above Wayne who was on loan from Republic, but he too had wanted the role of Glennister. Wayne was also depressed by his recent separation, and Dietrich sought to distract him with outings to restaurants and sporting events as well as hunting and fishing trips at weekends. See more » |
Goofs | When Glennister (John Wayne) and his men prepare to blow up the bank and steal the safe, they disguise themselves with what appeared to be coal dust to blacken their faces, but in a subsequent scene when Glennister visits Cherry Malotte (Marlene Dietrich) and her maid Idabelle (Marietta Canty), he's wearing traditional black-face makeup.
