Storyline

At a small, struggling motor court in the Mojave Desert, events in the lives of many people climax on the same night. The family running the roadside cafe/motel is there escaping from a scandal back home. But it catches up with them. Coincidentally, a woman working there is confronted by her past also, which is connected to the scandal. And two other people who arrive separately are also involved with each other and get caught up in the action. Everything comes together in the final act as the cast of characters resolve their problems and past errors. Written by Ron Kerrigan

Coincidence, times ten
3 December 2004 | by RipshinSee all my reviews

While the whole set-up of this RKO B-movie is ridiculous, the film is nonetheless worth watching.

Viewers of the recent thriller/horror movie "Identity" will quickly realize that the screenwriter of that flick has obviously seen this movie.

At just over an hour, the plot here is barely fleshed out, with one contrivance piled on top of another.

The performances are either ridiculous ("Doc" Joseph), or sincere (Anne Revere, Gale Storm). The location set is well-designed, being realistic, as opposed to a back lot imitation.
