  • During the darkest days of the London Blitz American reporter Quentin Reynolds offers a sobering but poetic tribute to the resiliency and courage of citizens of Britain, who rally heroically in the face of five weeks of horrendous nighttime bombing by the Luftewaffe. Despite thousands of deaths and untold damage, Londoners endure.—Gabe Taverney (duke1029@aol.com)
  • Narrated by Quentin Reynolds, the war correspondent for Collier's Weekly, this Warner Bros. short shows how Londoners are bearing up during the blitz in World War II. While people go about their business during the day, they all prepare for night time as this is when the battle of London begins. When the sirens sound, people head for underground shelters like the subway. By dawn, people emerge, assess the damage and begin a new day. Morale is high however and courageously face their enemy.—garykmcd
