The beautiful and kindhearted princess Snow White charms every creature in the kingdom except one - her jealous stepmother, the Queen. When the Magic Mirror proclaims Snow White the fairest one of all, she must flee into the forest, where she befriends the lovable seven dwarfs - Doc, Sneezy, Grumpy, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, and Dopey. But when the Queen tricks Snow White with an enchanted apple, only the magic of true love's kiss can save her.Written by

The original design for Snow White was done by the artists behind Betty Boop giving her pouting red lips, long eyelashes, and a glimpse of her ankles causing her to look more like a 'flapper' than a demure princess. Walt Disney threw this out as he wanted Snow White to be wholesome, innocent and clothed in a peasant style dress rather than being sexy. The original 12 inch x 10 inch artwork was kept by one of the animators and held by his family until it was put up for auction in august 2014 when it was expected to make £15,000 but was sold for £2,793. When Snow White is cleaning the cabin, the birds put daffodils in a vase. Later, before Bashful shoves the flowers into Sneezy's face and he sneezes, the flowers have turned into goldenrod. However, the goldenrod appear to come from a different vase than the first, as it has a unique shape and design - the vase with the daffodils was much more plain, suggesting that the dwarfs own more than one of them. Slave in the magic mirror, come from the farthest space, through wind and darkness I summon thee. Speak! Let me see thy face.
What wouldst thou know, my Queen?
Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold, a lovely maid I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is more fair than thee.
Alas for her! Reveal her name.
Lips red as the rose. Hair black as ebony. Skin white as snow.

Unusual for a film of this era, the words "THE END" never appear on screen. See more »
My favorite all-time animated movie. Every song is a classic, every character is unforgettable, every voice is perfect, not a second is wasted. Funny, scary, entertaining and revolutionary. Remember that this was the very first animated movie ever, and everyone thought Disney was crazy making it. In 62 years, this movie has never been equaled.
