Watch This 1933 Animated Mickey Mouse Horror Short “The Mad Doctor”

So it seems that Disney was a little more fringe back in the day, as a lot of what’s in here now wouldn’t possibly be shown on the Mickey Mouse show that kids watch today. The Disney films might be able to get away with a lot of scary stuff, but the cartoons on TV aren’t able to compete with the likes of The Mad Doctor. It’s not so bad that it would unwatchable, but let’s face it, Mickey cartoons have changed a lot since their black and white days. As a Halloween episode it seems pretty well on topic,

Watch a 1933 Animated Mickey Mouse Horror Short The Mad Doctor

With Halloween right around the corner, I hope to find more fun Halloween stuff to share with you. I came across this old 1933 Walt Disney horror cartoon called The Mad Doctor that I had to share. It follows Mickey Mouse as he sets out on a dark and treacherousjourney to rescue his dog Pluto from an evil doctor in a haunted castle. As I watch stuff like this, it makes me miss good old-fashioned hand-drawn animation.

Why Qyburn Could Be the Key to Saving Westeros From the White Walkers

You probably already know this, but Big Game of Thrones spoilers below! Oh, Qyburn. Creepy, creepy Qyburn. Although we loathe the Westerosi version of Dr. Frankenstein, there's a chance that he just might be the key to saving everyone from the White Walker invasion, if his behavior in the Game of Thrones season seven finale is any indication. When Jon Snow brings the wight to the dragonpit in King's Landing and shows off the undead creature's terrifying ability to keep on fighting even after the Hound slices him in half, pretty much everyone present looks visibly shaken (especially Euron, who promptly gets the f*ck out of there). Everyone except for Qyburn, that is. The mad doctor, who is responsible for bringing the Mountain back to life, approaches the mangled, severed wight hand that gets chopped off by the Hound without a shred of fear, picking up and thoroughly examining

Three Quickies: Caesar, Victor, Jared

Caesar

Have you ever considered the job of Location Manager? I can quickly confess that I have not despite often considering plentiful jobs that go on behind the scenes on motion pictures. The Credits discusses the complicated work with Catou Kearney the Location Manager of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. It's a technically challenging movie, not least of which because they shot so much outdoors and needed a lushly overgrown forest.

The apes ... have created a vast forest utopia. Finding such a place, one that looks as abundant as the script demands, but that could also support a large crew and a ton of equipment, takes months of research, legwork, and a few thousand phone calls. Kearney is a seasoned location manager, and relishes the opportunity. “It’s like putting a ten-thousand piece puzzle together,” she says. “When that last piece falls into place, there’s nothing like it.

Ron Paul, Hookers, and Heroin

The 2012 presidential candidate has gone off the deep end in defending the right to sell sex and drugs as personal liberty-and stretched libertarianism past the breaking point, writes Michael Medved.

How would you describe a perennial presidential candidate who insists in a televised debate that government has no more right to interfere with prostitution or heroin than it does to limit people's right to "practice their religion and say their prayers" ?

The phrase "crackpot" comes immediately to mind-and in any contemporary political dictionary that term would appear alongside a photograph of Congressman Ron Paul.

The Mad Doctor, who proudly consorts with 9/11 Truthers, announced his third race for the nation's highest office on Friday the 13th (appropriately enough) by declaring that if he were president he never would have authorized a lethal strike against Osama bin Laden.
