Rod La Rocque is bored by dull London in the post-war years, and is commissioned in the Olanian army for some excitement. Along the way he rescues peasant girl Lupe Velez, who falls in love with him. He doesn't have any time for women, which doesn't mean then what it means now and so she has to go after him.
Rod La Rocque -- his real name was Roderick La Rocque de la Rour, believe it or not -- was one of the action stars of the '20s, whose leading career survived the coming of sound pretty well. Lupe Velez career did all right, as she had a great talent as a comedienne. As might be expected, she steals the show from lead La Rocque, but he doesn't struggle to keep it. The result is a fine romantic-adventure-comedy. And by all means, look up the stars in other vehicles.
