The 36 Year Old Oscar Micheaux
2 September 2003 | by Single-Black-MaleSee all my reviews

Having exploded onto the big screen at the age of 35 with his debut film, 'The Homesteader' (a variation on his previous novels, 'The Conquest' and 'The Homesteader'), Oscar Micheaux went on to produce race films such as 'The Brute' which could be argued as a variation on his first novel.
