A June 7th, 1923 article in the Prescott Evening Courier (page 1, col. 8), states that this film was made from a book by the same title by Harold Bell Wright. The paper described one of the scenes: "...the leading character, Larry Knight (played by John Bowers,) gets off of the train at Prescott (AZ) and goes to the (fair) grounds to witness (the) Frontier Days (Rodeo)."

In order to film a scene at the Prescott, AZ railroad depot, the Santa Fe RR agreed to hold the incoming noon train at the station until the filming of the scene was completed. See more
