A gang of rustlers work in harmony with a banker who has a mortgage on the heroine's land. The leader of the gang wants to marry the girl who naturally spurns him and the ranger appears for the customary fight. Gold having been discovered on the land, the thieves use the mortgage in an effort to deprive the girl of her property. There are several one-against-the-crowd duels with ultimate victory for the leading man and woman and punishment awaiting the banker.
