Trama

Rejected by his son, the old veteran finds a home with his grandson.

Following the death of his son, Civil War veteran Grandad Steele goes to live with his grandson, John, in Texas, where the old man amuses himself by arguing the war's outcome with a former Confederate soldier. When the local sheriff is accused of smuggling rifles and ammunition across the Mexican border, John thwarts the plot but discovers that his own brother is an accomplice. The sheriff retaliates by kidnapping John's sweetheart, Mary. John comes to her rescue, while Grandad kills the sheriff with his Union Army sword.—AFI
