After serving a sentence for crime of passion, a seafarer arrives at Serra da Cabreira , becoming an element of fascination and disaggregation of the archaic village.
This is perhaps the best pearl of portuguese silent movie. Completely filmed in exteriors and on two completely different places as the sea and the mountains in the interior of Portugal. It is a very realistic film where we can see how people lived on the 20's on the country side in Portugal and how a man can change the life of so many different people just because of his way of seeing love and life. A very good cast of actors and very nice photograph.
