However, she is instrumental in catching three crooks when they become saturated with the brew.—Exhibitors Herald, June 18, 1921
- The landlord received only $40 on account for his month's rent from his star tenant and when he called for the balance was told that the family had no money. While talking with the mother, Baby Peggy sneaks down to the landlord's rooms and returns with a bottle of his home brew. Mother makes the landlord a present of the beer and he goes away without collecting the rent. The next time the landlord called the same performance was repeated but he became suspicious and filled several bottles with a mixture of soap and water. Peggy stole one of these bottles and when the landlord tastes it he feels certain that he has the thief. He hires a detective to watch his rooms but the detective falls asleep and three crooks who are being pursued by the police enter the room. Baby Peggy follows the crooks into the room and when the police arrive she leads them to the crooks. There was a reward of $1,000 offered for their capture and when Peggy receives this amount her parents are able to pay off their debt to the landlord.—Copyright Description from Library of Congress
