Storyline

Handsome, considerate high school jock Kyle Harding is the only taste the Wheaton sisters share. Tall, fashionable, popular airhead big sister Alexia is dating him, but fails to truly appreciate him, let alone contemplate a serious relationship. Her nerdy kid sister, Hayley, hates the waste and expresses her envy by thoughtlessly wishing at a shooting star to be Alexia. To their stupor, that happens the next morning. Forced to live each other's lives, but unable to do it well by the other's standards, they soon hate each other even more and deliberately screw up. Gradually, they realize they would only both lose out, learn to appreciate the other's values, and reconsider their own. Remain the matters of obviously utterly confused Kyle, and new neighbor boy, Simon, whose no longer secret crush on Hayley was confounded by Alexia. Written by KGF Vissers

Trivia

Danielle Harris was quite nervous about shooting the table-dance scene (which actually doesn't appear in most TV versions), so she asked if she could choose the people who are sitting at the table. She picked the boys who would be most uncomfortable watching her as to make herself more comfortable while performing. See more »

Goofs

When Alexia answers the Chemistry question in class, she writes "ABC" on the whiteboard. In the next shot as she continues writing, the appearance of "ABC" is completely different. See more »

Quotes

Alexia: Today is definitely day one.
Hayley: Day one of what?
Alexia: My diet. Oh, excuse me. I mean your diet. A fruit and veggie fast. You're bloated.
Hayley: What are you talking about? I'm a knockout. Make-up may be a bit heavy. Not me.

I went to the School where the movie was filmed!
4 April 2006 | by flirtinguSee all my reviews

I was living in Utah when I first saw the movie in the Disney Channel in 2000. I really liked the movie, I was 15 then. But I still remember the story. I've been wanting to buy the movie in a store, but I haven't find it yet. I remember that when I saw that some parts of the movie were filmed in the High School I was going to then I got so excited. Ha ha! I thought that for some reason I would be in the movie. That movie brings really good memories. I hope to watch it again really soon, after 6 years. And to feel like that 15 year old in High School. Why is it that I haven't seen it again in the Disney Channel? I wonder if some other people think the same.
