I watched Jungleland for the 2 leads, Charlie Hunnam and especially Jack O'Connell who both turn in excellent performances and was equally impressed by Jessica Barden as the third lead. The film is certainly entertaining enough, emotional, and has some outstanding scenes, but the problem with a movie like Jungleland is that within 10 minutes of it's opening I had a good idea of how it would end up. When the Sky character is introduced you know exactly where she is going to fit in. There are no surprises here at all, this is a typical Hollywood film, with characters that only exist in a Hollywood script and it's all highly unlikely. In the golden days of Hollywood a story like this worked, now it just comes across as fake, manipulative and most of all unoriginal. Worth it if you like any of the 3 leads, but don't expect anything you haven't seen many times before.
