Rudolf Steiner is strolling down a quiet street. A distributor of dental advertisements slips a card into his hand. On it is written, "The Green Door." He tries again and once more gets the same sort of card, though others drop the ordinary dentist advertisement. Rudolf goes upstairs, locates the green door and when admitted finds a starving shopgirl, who, when fed and after her story is told, turns out to be the "real adventure" in his life; the adventure he has been looking for. Rudolf, who suspects her of the card ruse to get help, finds the cards were merely advertisements of a theater up the street and decides that fate's hand was in it; nevertheless he is sure that there will soon be a ring-time in his life, with Romance and Adventure proud of their subject and his Great Adventure, the girl.
