Plot Summary

Fred Madison, a drug fiend, who wants to overcome the pernicious habit, is accompanied by his wife into the desert of the western country. On their way to the sanitarium where a former lover of Mary is the doctor where Fred hopes to cure himself, they are lost. Fred, without his drug, becomes almost insane and wanders off from Mary to fight his battle out alone. During his absence Mary is nearly carried away by a drunken brute, but the doctor from the hospital, on his way to meet his old friends, finds her. With him and Mary, Fred goes to the sanitarium, and the close of the picture sees him cured and strong. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis
