Myra McGinnis is an old maid who thinks the whole world of men who are trying to flirt with her when they are only laughing at her odd face and dress. Her suffragette friend shows her that the Chicago authorities have appointed women police. They at once go to the police station and talk the chief into giving Myra a badge. She plays a cute stunt on a policeman and obtains his coat and hat and arrests everyone she meets simply for the want of something to do. She finally tries her work on two drunks and finds quite some trouble in landing them in the station house and only succeeds in doing so with the assistance of several yards of clothes line. The next morning the case is put before the Judge and the only evidence that can be found against the prisoners is from Myra claiming that they all flirted with her. The Judge looks at her and thinking this impossible, discharges the prisoners and orders Myra from the station house. She is taken to the door and thrown out as the ex-prisoners ...
