Leonce Perret was an interesting director whose works are,little by little,rediscovered ,particularly the feature-length features ;he also made shorts by the dozen,many of which, starring him as the lead;unfortunately ,he was a mediocre actor,oafish and inexpressive:Chaplin,Stan and Olie ,he was definitively not.In consequence ,the shorts he is not in ("Les Dents De Fer") are more successful than his Leonce series.
In this short ,Perret plays his own part ,for he is an actor completing a movie ;all the woman around are crazy about him (although Valentino he is definitely not) and it gets on her legitimate wife's nerves ;she finds a letter which reads "Rendezvous in the movie theater which shows " Les Incohérences Du Coeur ",a prophetic title ,for Leonce was actually summoned to film the last scenes of his movie,as he told his wife :mistaken identity in the theater,and ending in keeping with morality.
