Did You Know?
Oliver had mainly two teachers that were responsible for giving him the skills that he uses as The Arrow. Slade Wilson (a.k.a. Deathstroke) who taught him hand to hand combat and melee weapons training and Shado who taught him the bow. Originally in DC comics, Oliver taught himself archery and was taught martial arts by Natas, who was Deathstroke's mentor. In season 5 it is revealed that Oliver had one more mentor in Talia Al Ghul who furthered his martial arts training and inspired the Arrow persona. See more
In the promotional picture for the series it shows a shirtless Oliver. The scars from his time on the island are visible, but there is no tattoo. During the series Oliver has a tattoo on his chest, a tattoo that plays an important role in at least one episode (1x03 "Lone Gunmen") and has been visible in every other episode. See more
