June 1984, Ivanovo region. As a result of a powerful destructive tornado, the northern and northeastern parts of the city of Ivanovo, as well as its suburbs, were badly damaged. The village of Vozdvizhenskoye was completely destroyed. Thousands of people were left homeless. For many, the tornado claimed the lives of loved ones. Residents are forced to live in a dilapidated rural school. Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Vera Tretyakova was instructed to organize work to eliminate the consequences of a natural disaster that suddenly hit the village.
