- Rupa (Zeenat Aman) grew up being cursed as "unlucky" in her birth village. Her mother died during childbirth, then a kitchen accident leaves half her face disfigured. This is an artistic exploration of beauty and disfigurement, society's values, and, more importantly how a girl, teenager, and bride was treated during the times. Rajeev (Shashi Kapoor), the stereotype male engineer, falls in love with Rupa, who has a divine singing voice and the unscarred left cheek. When he sees the scarred cheek after marriage, he heads off into a tizzy and continues nightly dalliance with his mistress--the beautiful cheek. Little does he realize that his wife and mistress are two faces of the same person.

- Jogamma is the widow of Brahmin Pandit Range Rao, and lives in a coastal village in Southern India along with her two married sons, Narsimha, who is married to Seethamma and has two sons; while Parasuram is married to Ansuya. Narsimha, who not only looks after the estate, but also works as a clerk, often ends up chiding Parsuram to do something proactive. A frustrated Parshuram, not able to bear the taunts of his family anymore decides to run away from home, but has an encounter with a Sage named Kondura, who is believed to be living under the sea for ions. Kondura bestows a boon upon him, asks him not to misuse it, and be a celibate. A disbelieving Parshuram returns home, finds out that Guru is yet another person who was granted the boon of finding water, even in arid areas, and asks him to help dig a well. Guru does help and water is discovered shortly thereafter. Parshuram claims that he can also converse with a Goddess in the local Mandir. Things change when the villagers realize that he is telling the truth, and in no time at all Parsuram himself becomes a sage in his own right. When the Goddess appears before him, she instructs him to re-build her temple, and he does so with the help of Zamindar Bhairavmoorthy, a cruel, self-centered man, who is known to have had many sexual relationships, including one with his sister-in-law, but is known to be impotent. His brother gave birth to a crippled boy, Venu, and passed away. Bhairav brought up Venu, educated him, but treats him with contempt, whips him frequently, gets him married to a good-looking, but poor woman named Parvati. With money coming in from Bhairav, the temple is built, however, the Goddess is unhappy and tells Parsuram that sin is flourishing in this village. It is then that Parvati becomes pregnant, and everyone believes that Bhairav has overcome his impotence and is the father. Believing Bhairav to be behind all sins in this village, Parsuram sets about to reverse this, and manages to fool Parvati to drink a concoction, the very boon that was granted by Kondura, that will make her abort this child. Shortly thereafter Parsuram finds out that Venu is the to-be father, and now guilt-ridden, he must find a way to reverse this, even if it means incurring the wrath of Kondura and the Goddess.

What Sharda does not know that Ranjeet is carrying on with his pretty Secretary, Nirmala Deshpande, who he has convinced that his wife is seriously ill, is dying, and will marry her after her passing. Watch how hilarious events unfold and prove that Ranjeet is a liar and a two-timer, watch him repent... but hold it! Not for long!
- Raajkumar Kakkar, a poor young man who resembles Rana Shantidas, a wealthy man, impersonates him and enjoys his credit to have all facilities. He falls in love with Shanti, a rich girl and discloses his true identity. The rich father refuses to accept him, but Shanti marries him. Rana Shantidas, who is in fact being blackmailed by his minister, swaps places with Raajkumar. The latter finds himself the target of a bloody pot. He, however, boldly fights against all odds to help Rana Shantidas get rid of the blackmailing Diwan.

This Prince also meets with Digvijay's sister and friend, Renuka, and Manju respectively and has an on-going affair with both at the same time. Digvijay is not happy with what's going on, and he asks his men to investigate the background of this Prince, and what they find will change Digvijay's life forever.

- A wealthy man, Amarnath, witnesses a fight between two men, and watches one kill the other. He comes to the assistant of the killer, Vijay Kumar, assists him so that he can re-establish himself, as well as disposes off the body. Vijay is very grateful to him, and is willing to do anything for him. All Amarnath wants him to do is to woo and marry a crippled young bank employee by the name of Aarti Mathur. Vijay agrees to do so, and successfully woos not only Aarti but her entire family, and soon both get married. Aarti is able to walk again, much to her family's delight. Then Amarnath asks Vijay to seek Aarti's cooperation in looting the bank where she works or else he will expose his crime to the police. A shaken Vijay confides in Aarti and both reluctantly agree to rob the bank. The robbery takes place successfully, but Aarti is sure that the police suspect her, and she is worried. Amarnath then asks Vijay to kill Aarti so as to get rid of an unnecessary witness. The question is will Vijay agree to kill his wife, or will he let himself be arrested for murder? The title song "Dil se miley dil..." and "Yeh naina yeh kajal, yeh julfey yeh aanchal, khubsoorat si ho tum ghazal...." continue to be very popular.

Will Lalulal and Ghulam be able to improve their lives or will they be caught up in just surviving on a day to day basis?

A few days later, Sunil joins them in Khandala and brings home a male who claims that he has lost his memory - the male is none other than Vinod - and Sunil's diagnosis is that Vinod will gradually regain his memory. Watch what happens when Vidya and Aarti find out and the steps they take to prevent this from happening.

- This is the story of a eccentric young man, Ashok (Dharmendra) who believes in doing good without worrying about the consequences. When he arrives in the city, due to his misfortune, he lands a job at a factory run by the Rajkumari, and immediately gets in to the bad books of Prem (Prem Chopra) to whom the Rajkumari is engaged to be married. The Rajkumari also decides to teach him a lesson for the humiliation she suffered at his hands. But things work out differently, and Ashok ends up saving the life of the Rajkumari, and she falls in love with him. This jeopardizes the plans that Rajkumari's uncle (Ajit) has for her and her bethrothed Prem, and a horrifying scheme is concocted to stop the love and possible future relationship of Rajkumari and Ashok.

In this birth, the only way Prakash can survive is after someone who loves him sacrifices their life for him. And that person cannot be Gauri, as her death will leave to the death of the child in her womb, and subsequently to Prakash's death. Renuka is now prepared to kill Gauri so she can get Prakash all to herself.

- Thakur Jaswant Singh rules over the region with a iron hand. He has no pity or empathy for the poor, all he is interested in is their money, their women, and alcohol. After the passing away of his dad, he assumes total control over the region, and increases the taxes. One day while walking across the hallway, he trips over the wet floor, and falls down. Word gets around that Jeeva is in the bad books of the Thakur, and soon a number of people start consipiring against Jeeva. The next day Jeeva is summoned before the village council and asked to explain his involvement in the death of a cow. Jeeva has no satisfactory explanation, and he is asked to leave the village immediately with his mother. Jeeva refuses to do so, and is severely beaten, and thrown out. Shortly thereafter his mother passes away, and Jeeva decides to avenge her death by bringing about the downfall of Jaswant Singh. In order to do this, he becomes a dacait. Jeeva swears on the holy river Ganga to wipe out Jaswant Singh and his men, without knowing his decision will bring him into conflict with the police, and with the honest people from the very community he was exiled from.
- Orphaned at an early age, Vidya, her brother, Raja, live a poor lifestyle with their maternal uncle. While the uncle is out of town, the responsibility of looking after the household is on Vidya's shoulders. Raja takes to petty crime, and runs away from home. Traumatized with the accident, unable to see, and locate her missing brother, Vidya is devastated, There is no visible sign of anybody coming to assist her. Will Vidya and Raja ever meet again? What has happened to Raja?

He teaches her how to mingle with high society, dress and eat properly, and ensures the education of her son. In return for his decency and compassion, Jyoti prepares to marry Dr. Gupta. When her father arrives for the festivities, he recognizes Mukesh.
