- The Battle of OP Harry, Korea. The Story of Forgotten Soldiers, in a Forgotten Battle of a Forgotten War. By the end of the Korean War the US 3rd Infantry Division had orders to hold OP Harry at all costs -- the Chinese intended to seize it. On 10 June 1953, 3,500 Chinese assaulted that position, defended by King Company, 15th Infantry Regiment -- of about 200 US soldiers. Massive artillery fire -- 90,000 US and 30,000 Chinese shells -- decimated both sides. K Company and then reinforcing units of about a hundred -- at terrible human cost -- ejected the attackers from the trenches in close combat, with only about 20 US soldiers walking off the mountain unscathed the next morning. But the Chinese, suffering 90% loses, would return again and again for eight subsequent nights, with more then 10,000 troops, no one knows for sure. The film depicts interviews with these aging American, South Korean, Greek and Chinese veterans -- in addition to introducing three Generals, MASH nurses, the South Korean Prime Minister, noted scholars and political commentators Newt Gingrich, US Sen. Richard Lugar, US Con. Charles Rangel, S. Korean Honorable Hwang, US Historian Allan Millett, Michael Slater and author Oliver North. By dedicating an entire program to the buildup, battle and its aftermath, while endearing the audience to these soldiers, a unique perspective is given to the greater Korean War itself. These combatants -- who are so proud of their service -- are grateful that before their generation is gone, a document is finally procured to preserve the memory of the soldiers who fell attacking and defending OP Harry to HOLD AT ALL COSTS. As the new world order was imminent, the term "Hold At All Costs" is ultimately what the Korean War or Cold War was all about. It is hopeful that these stories represent all soldiers of that era and perhaps all soldiers everywhere, throughout warfare. Narrated by Edward Herrmann.

- 2006–TV EpisodeJake Tapper spent nearly two years investigating the events at Combat Outpost Keating and interviewing more than 225 individuals who played important roles both home and abroad. Just before 6:00 a.m. on October 3, 2009, Combat Outpost Keating was attacked by Taliban insurgents. The fifty-three U.S. troops stationed there, at the bottom of three steep mountains, were severely outnumbered by nearly four hundred Taliban fighters. Though the Americans ultimately prevailed - with two soldiers earning the Medal of Honor for their actions - their casualties made it one of the war's deadliest battles for U.S. forces. Later, a Pentagon investigation concluded that there was no reason for Outpost Keating to have been there in the first place. Why was it there? Who is ultimately responsible for the lives lost there? How many other ill-conceived outposts and missions existed at the time and how many more lives were needlessly lost? Jake Tapper is the Chief Washington Correspondent for CNN and anchor of The Lead with Jake Tapper. Tapper joined CNN from ABC News, where he most recently served as senior White House correspondent, a position he was named to immediately following the 2008 presidential election. In this role, Tapper contributed regularly to Good Morning America, Nightline and World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, in addition to serving as substitute host of This Week and writing for his blog, Political Punch on ABCNews.com. He has written for The New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and The Weekly Standard, among many other publications. He is the author of three books, including The Outpost, Down and Dirty: The Plot to Steal the Presidency (2001), and Body Slam: The Jesse Ventura Story (1999).

Unfortunately, the situation is getting worse every year, and a new wildfire now threatens to destroy the Outpost. In a daring bid to capture the world's attention about the impending catastrophe and to urge the Brazilian government to create a protective reserve, Chris decides to take a bold gamble: organizing a spectacular Pink Floyd concert amid the verdant inferno. After all, in the mind of a dreamer, the realm of possibilities knows no bounds.

- We have here presented to us a most fascinating exposition of life on the Alpine frontier. Extremely interesting is the mode of locomotion in this picturesque but arduous country, and we are furnished an appreciation of same in every phase. An exciting scene is that of the confusion caused by an accident on the frontier, but it is marvelous to watch the quickness and dexterity with which the wounded are handled in this region of ice decked cliffs and snowy plains.

- Wade Beaumont (Dick Curtis), R. A. Kirby (Kenneth MacDonald) and Burke (Edmund Cobb), of the Caribou Trading Company, have reduced the miners and trappers almost to the point of slavery by charging them exorbitant prices for provisions. Beaumont threatens to quit and the other two are thrown in a panic, but a fistfight between Beaumont and Larry Daniels (Stanley Brown) gives Burke an idea. He stabs Beaumont with Larry's knife and RCMP Sergeant Neal Crawford (Charles Starrett) arrests Larry for murder. Neal's romantic interest in Larry's sister, Norma (Iris Meredith), makes this task difficult. Not happy at the evidence brought out in the trial, Neal takes a leave of absence and begins his own investigation. He ties up the gold at the trading company until a successor to Beaumont is appointed, and thus keeps Burke and Kirby from absconding with the gold. Norma and Neal see the crooks burn the evidence that will free Larry. Burke, Kirby and Jacques LaRue (Alberto Morin) clean out the vault and ride away, but are pursued by Neal and the Mounties.
