- Kodachrome was the film stock of choice for professional photographers and home movie enthusiasts from its release in 1935 to its discontinuation in 2009. This film traces the history of the stock - including Abraham Zapruder's dramatic footage of the Kennedy assassination - and explains what made it special through the eyes of the individuals that used it and the Kodak engineers involved in its manufacture. The journey takes us from England to Dallas, TX and Rochester, NY and finally to the last lab in the world which processed Kodachrome in Parsons, KS. Parts of the film were shot on some of the last Kodachrome Super 8 stock to be developed.
