- Suffering from a deep depression, actor Serge Thériault has isolated himself for seven years. With sensitivity and respect, the filmmakers focus their camera on Thériault's wife Anna, his daughter, and a neighbour couple. The friendship inspires touching, beneficial solidarity, as well as a coordinated and patient attempt to help the popular actor emerge from his isolation and embark on a sustainable healing process. Once again showing a talent for handling delicate subjects and finding rays of light in dark realities, Pier-Luc Latulippe and Martin Fournier have made a film of deep humanity and uncommon aesthetic power.
- -Where is the power in our democracies today? Documenting the struggle against plans to expand the polluting tar sands industry, notably through the movement opposing the construction of oil pipelines in province of Quebec (Canada), the film calls on our civic conscience at a time of major global issues.
- Roy Dupuis leads us on a quest that finds Québec's culture is the product of significant cross-pollination with aboriginal cultures.
- -This documentary follows the steps of three aspiring police officers in Québec (Canada) during their studies in CEGEP and in the ENPQ.
- -Pascale, Raphael and Celeste are 15 and 16 years old. An adolescence like any other: the first flirtations, the first mourning, the fragile parental bonds. But they are literally - in the field. They are in high school in a special little school in the Eastern Townships, where they learn about farming: La Maison Familiale Rurale. Several times during the year, they each have to go on long stays with a local farmer. They learn to work alongside him and have to integrate into his family: a multi-champion of cow beauty contests, a lumberjack refusing big machines and swearing only by his horses - A real master-apprentice relationship develops between these workers of the earth and our young characters, both feet in the living. In the heart of the splendours of nature, with an attentive camera that knows how to make you forget yourself, "LE PLANCHER DES VACHES" follows the unique journey of three secret and endearing teenagers who will confront their limits, discover the meaning of the bond and learn to live at the rhythm of the earth and the animals.
