- A couple who have escaped from the Baltics to Copenhagen are pursued by a KGB officer.
- The men in the village are dying one by one. The disease is spreading, and so is the paranoia. It must be darker forces at play, and the villagers on the island have only one suspect - a beautiful but mysterious girl living in harmony with nature. But is the persecuted young woman also in pact with the devil, or is she innocent? She hides with her mother, Anna, who must now decide if she wants to protect her daughter, and would risk being ostracized, or believe in the accusations and sentence her own child to death.
- Sonja receives a letter from her friend Julie, who is on summer vacation on Bornholm. Sonja can be a holiday child in Gudhjem, and she really wants to. Sonja's mother can't afford to send her there, but luckily her mother's boyfriend Frede is willing to pay for the ferry ticket.

Sonja is playing and swimming with her playmates, and they bump into Mr. Kragemose, who has caught an eel. In the evening, mother and Frede and Heidi are invited to dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Anker's - they are going to have fish.
