While at heart the film is reflection on the war by those closest to it, Zero Zone also captures life on the front lines where they daily battle of the war is talking place, across a landscape and in trenches that is more reminiscent of the World War II than anything happening today. Through interview portraits with soldiers, commanders, and civilians we will hear their thoughts on the war and what they must do on a daily basis not only to survive but to fight for the freedom of their homeland.
