- The plot follows Natali, who left the former Yugoslavia immediately after the beginning of the wars of the 1990s. Like many other people from this area, she emigrated abroad in search of a better life and a more secure future. After several years spent abroad, wanting to fully adapt to life in a new environment, she wished to change her identity and erase her origins. An unusual legal case regarding the inheritance of a rich elderly woman who did not have a family will bring her back to her country of origin, Montenegro.
- Handsome Albanian villager Arben wants to marry Etleva, daughter of a neighboring clan, but her father has promised her to another man who is offering a 10,000 Euros bride price. But when it turns out Etleva is carrying Arben's child, the pressure is on for him to come up with the dowry before the baby is born -- and before her brothers take revenge for the dishonor he has brought their family. Fleeing to Berlin without papers, experience or knowledge of the language, Arben soon learns the ways of survival.
- The story takes place in March 1999, Kosovo. it is the period of NATO bombing. Massive displacement of Albanians on ethnic basis. Terror, fear, insecurity, hunger has plagued Gjakova town located on the border with Albania. This does not exclude that along the narration the situations are built on a logic flow, moments of humor, eroticism, that occasionally avoid blackness of circumstances, which cross the theme of the film. The film initially develops in two parallel lines that then converge, connected to a common thread, where, at the end, each of the lines goes back to its own fate. It is a film for adults and children too.
- MY LAKE, or "my movie", although it is a cinematic narrative in itself, is quite simply an ordinary story, natural for its extraordinary reality, unnatural for Albanian society. For about three decades this same leitmotif has continued played out in one form or another. Drug trafficking, money - Children are born and raised with an atypical moral code where making money to lift you out of poverty, by illegal means, somehow makes you a man. It makes you somebody.
- Adaptation of Albanian novel, the narrative, set during the Soviet Regime in the 70's, focuses on the exploits of Comrade Zylo, a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Culture. To impress his superiors and party members ,Comrade Zylo manipulates Demka, an aspiring frustrated author to write on his behalf phenomenal speeches and reports based on Zylo's wildly improbable theories of what is Proletariat Culture, and how to bring Culture to the Proletariat.
