- Follow the footsteps of one of the greatest musical mysteries of Czech history. A recording of a staged radio report, about the discovery of a promising band that did not manage to become famous, introduces the audience to the environment of the Ostrava underground of the 1960s. The actors of the Vosto5 theater and the frontman of the music group Midi lidi, Petr Marek, discover long-lost sound recordings of the period as well as many revelations about contemporary musicians whose fates were unexpectedly connected to the musical comet called "PROTON".
- The group Fekete Seretlek is inspired by folk songs from all over the world and transforms them into new and completely unique compositions. Their spontaneous performances balance on the border between concert and theater. This recording of their concert was made during the Nekropolis festival at the iconic Akropolis Palace cultural center. And in it's backstage the entire film begins. The brilliant Slovenian puppeteer Matija Solce and his monkey and panda puppets lead the camera through the necrolabyrinth to the stage, to accompany the Fekete Seretlek band with their musical guests from all over the Europe.
- A performance is being prepared on the shore of the lake. The author is young Treplev, who casted his beloved Nina in the only role. However, his work is not met with a spectacular fusion of souls, but with misunderstanding, which is especially supported by his mother. Thus begins the play in which the Russian playwright Chekhov, intertwined with love and artistic desires, creates a picture of human suffering at the threshold of the 20th century - in place of famous deeds and romantic heroes, the pains of modern man stand. The Seagull production by the National Theater Brno is looking for stage poetry in a non-poetic age. The recording was made on the stage of the magnificent Mahen Theater from the 19th century.
- The production is inspired by real historical characters - the traveler and cactus hunter Fric and South-American Indian Cerwuis. Together, they traveled to Bohemia in 1908 to uncover a disease that afflicted a young Indian tribe. This picaresque duo takes the audience into two worlds that could not be further apart. To Prague at the beginning of the 20th century and to the territory of the Chamakok Indian tribe in the Paraguayan forest. A journey full of humor and open-mindedness awaits you, leading to the roots of our ideas about our own maturity. This recording of the performance was created as part of a dress rehearsal in the famous Brno "Husa na provázku" theater, whose origins date back to the 1960s.
- What can keep you alive when the whole world is against you, and you are still a child? Ema Cerná, the heroine of a story inspired by real life events, overcomes the hardships of a children's home, foster care and "juvy". The most essential part of the will to survive is the faith in yourself - faith that somewhere far away, maybe even in America, someone who cares about you is waiting. This performance of "Amerikanka" ("American Girl") is staged in a hyena cage and became the first Live Movie. Director Viktor Taus started a whole series of live broadcasts with it during the lockdown, which subsequently culminated in the LIVE phenomenon. The setting of the hyena enclosure allowed viewers to view the story in a new context for the first time. The paddock equipment became a full-fledged part of the performance and led to unrepeatable acting situations and performances.
- Tluchorovi is originally an endless radio series about the life of one family, which solves family, existential and political problems in a rather peculiar way, often balancing on the border of the law. The duo of actors - Oldrich Kaiser and Jirí Lábus - play all the characters with incredible vocal changes. From a teenage son Patrik, to the self-proclaimed poet Mirko Hýla. A strong community of fans demanded this "family" live, so from 2019, Tluchor will occasionally appear on stage. Just like their audio form, the stage is also composed of situational micro-comedies, which are based on the improvisation of the author pair. The recording of the performance was created on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the first part of this show.
- The "Mikulásská" show in Prague's Jatka78 theatre is a favorite event of many children and adults. Not even the global pandemic could interrupt it. The theater organized an unusual "DRIVE-IN MIKULÁSSKÁ!" with flying angels, jumping devils and a shining Santa Claus performed by the actors of Cirk La Putyka and their guests - safely and possibly and dangerously cheering up the young and old spectators. Of course, there is also a fairy tale. Ivana Bílková staged her puppet show "THE TWELVE MONTHS" just for the camera. The fairy tale tells the story of a poor Maruska, who in the middle of a blizzard has to fulfill a seemingly impossible task - to bring fresh strawberries to her stepmother and stepsister. And after the fairy tale, the phones of the MIKULÁSSKÁ OFFICE rang, from which the angels and devils directly answered the children's questions.
- Actress and singer Bára Poláková is very innovative in her work and in her presentation in the Czech environment. In this live recording she present a new concept, in which she performs an entire stylized concert consisting of many scenes and situations directly for the camera, in one single live shot. These are inspired by feelings, ideas and experiences that influenced the creation of her songs. They also reflect the time of isolation during the global Covid-19 pandemic, in which we began to lose track of days and weeks, as well as of our place of being. But at the same time, it also celebrates the time of meeting and sharing. Each of the selected songs received an original concept - through differents designs, choreography, narration or famous guests.
- What do you want from me? Why do you want to bring it up again? Are you waiting for an exhibition? A portrait of the times? Portrait of a heroine? Olga... The best friend for all times, regimes and seasons. The award-winning production of Divadlo LETÍ is composed of pictures from the life of Olga Havlová, which she did not choose herself, but which she proudly adopted as her own. This time, the author Anna Saavedra devotes her attention to the personality of Olga Havlova, former first lady of dissent and first lady of the Czech Republic alongside Václav Havel. The performance was filmed on the ensemble's home stage in Prague's Vila Stvanice.
- How stupid adults often act when they want to be important. This is precisely the theme of Wilhelm Hauff's fairy tale "The Young Englishman", which was set to music by the film and stage composer Ales Brezina, under the title "Opicak a pitomci". From the beginning, the work was intended for one of the most prominent personalities of the Czech alternative music scene - violinist, singer and actress Iva Bittova. You will hear her charming combination of voice and violin in a new form, in which Iva Bittova still remains herself and is accompanied by excellent Pavel Fisher on the violin. The resulting film will enchant (not only) children's hearts, perhaps also due to the fact that children perform in it, together with the performer. Any viewer can join them without shame.
- The cameras of the NAZIVO project could not miss this legendary performance of "La Putyka", which inspired the name of the new circus troupe Cirk La Putyka. It consists of moments from an (un)ordinary Czech pub. There is a love story, a brawl, the stumbling of regulars and a strumming band - all under the supervision of a quirky innkeeper. Acrobatics, dance, puppets, sports performances and live music merge into one new circus glass. As time increases and glasses are drunk, the pub's fantasy and reality change intensifies, the laws of physics cease to apply and the guests are the witnesses and the originators of an unexpected acrobatic, musical and movement phenomena.
- This production is inspired by the poetics of old nomadic theatre companies, combining all kinds of human skills and creations. From circus performances, theatrical or musical scenes, through what seemed like brand new technologies, to demonstrations of human and animal anatomical anomalies. Acrobats and actors will appear on stage in an unconventional combination of the new circus and older disciplines that we don't often see in theatre anymore. The recording of this magical mix of circus, dance and illusionism was created for the occasion of the start of the TV LIVE broadcast from the Jatka 78 theater, which is the home stage of the Cirk La Putyka ensemble.
- With this piece, the Cirk La Putyka troupe introduces the audience to the very roots of circus art. This show, staged outside the theater, makes you forget about the wooden floors of a classic theater hall. Get ready for a spectacular show. The film begins in the days when acrobats had only an ordinary caravan as their home and their horse was their most faithful companion. The characters of the show are a snake woman, a strict principal, dancers, puppets and horses. It is they who accompany the audience through the entire development of the circus during the last century, its transformation associated with the fall of the Iron Curtain and its clash with the 21st century.
- Even in the format of a talk show, the Vosto5 theater manages to preserve its unique poetics and playful humor. The name "Kupé v lese" is derived from the typical leather sofa, as well as the place of creation - the cultural venue "Café v lese". When the lockdown made it impossible to continue the conversations in front of the audience, a temporary compartment was created in which a pair of actors interviewed their guests directly for the cameras. Their first guest is director, producer and founder of the NAZIVO project, Viktor Taus.
- Eight acrobats, actors and dancers will appear through the show like colorful shards in a beauty pageant. They jump on a giant teeterboard, fly on a trampoline, float suspended in a circle. Traditional meets modern, seasoned performers mix with young circus blood. The recording of the performance was created as part of the Nazivo project, which broadcasted live popular productions to cinemas, from unusual locations outside the classic theater. Kaleidoscope was staged in a field under the sky, and the filming was caught up in an unexpected storm. Thanks to this, a completely unique picture was created in which acrobats perform incredible performances despite the heavy rain. This collage of joy and talent is mixed with exciting, dramatic and touching situations.
- Christmas at the "Minor" Theatre, which focuses on children, is already a traditional event in the Advent season. The show has been running for 20 years. Yes, the story of the birth of Jesus does not change, since it's already been written once and for all. But times change and so do the people who tell this story. Sweets, carp and potato salad, carols, candles, decorations, fairytales - but who was Baby Jesus and why was he born? Enjoy the dreamlike and mysterious atmosphere of the legendary Christmas production, which you can also absorb in its film form.
- With the Late Night Show, you can enjoy the wild nightlife without leaving your screen. The second episode of the show introduces the viewer to the dark atmosphere of american streets, through the eyes of performer and director Ethan Law. Under his fluence, exceptional foreign acrobats, actors and dancers will appear on stage, creating a cocktail of new circus, dance and music. One of them, for example, is the Swedish acrobat Esmeralda Nikolajeff, or the American dancer and hanging acrobat Mandi Orozco. This spectacular show was created specifically for TV cameras, as part of the TV LIVE broadcast. Therefore, this unique meeting of diverse artists can only be experienced from this recording and nowhere else.
- A recording of a chamber concert from the heart of an ancient forest, presenting the award-winning and critically acclaimed album "Reka" of the singer Lenka Dusilová. It cannot be placed in a clear box, as she travels between genres throughout her work. And although she often gets the label "alternative", through her sensibility she can appeal to a wide audience. In this live recording, in a circle of dead trees surrounded by ever-regenerating life, Lenka Dusilová embarks on a musical journey to find her own roots. The ground was the stage and the sounds of nature became part of the music performed by the electronic magician Aid Kid. The result carries away time and space, giving the songs a new dimension.
- What can happen to the little angel Tonícek when Saint Peter sends him to announce the birth of Jesus? Tonícek has a difficult journey ahead, during which he must watch out for high voltage wires, airplanes, and especially the devil. And what if little Tonícek gets lost?. That's when a real adventure begins. The independent alternative puppet theater Buchty a loutky completely dispels the myth that puppets are intended only for children. With their unmistakable humor and emphasis on the creative component, they will win over viewers even through the lens of a camera, regardless of their age.
- The show, which was created especially for the ceremonial launch of TV LIVE, combined the best of the scenes from Czech cabarets and dance halls. Burlesque, music, dance and magic woke up from a long sleep to go after hope in the form of the light of a movie spotlight and find a new way to the viewer through television screens.
- A furious theatrical roulette performed by the actors of the now legendary theater "Husa na provázku" . An author's production by the controversial director Michal Hába, based on the novel by F. M. Dostoyevsky, combines Russian ecstasy with European provocation. Dostoyevsky settles accounts with Western thought in the book, in which he used his own experience as a gambler. Gambling, debts - the main character Alexei hates all this, and at the same time he is fascinated by it. A story about love in the times of late capitalism, which is already two hundred years late.
- The Pislice stories are dedicated to children from the age of 10, but even their parents will laugh at them. Pislice are wooden figures that a boy called Jáchym got for his birthday. They experience incredible adventures, usually when they are home alone. They bravely explore every corner of the house, and so happens, for example, that they remain closed in a switched-on washing machine. The performance combines songs from Beata Hlavenková's double album with an exciting narration performed by actor Ivan Trojan. Together with the author of the music, Gabriela Vermelho, Milan Cais and Petr Ostrouchov also perform in concert. The stories of the Pisliks were illustrated with animations by Zdenka Morávková.
