As Western influences make their way through Eastern Europe, three losers decide to bring to Slovenia the most American of innovations, the pornographic movie, Charly and his two mates who decide to make the first porno movie made in Slovenia. Charly is the best choice to direct as he's been a viewer of porn since he was a kid. His mate runs a brothel and this is where they get their girls from. Trouble is Charly falls for Kalinka. They also run into trouble when the Pimp who use to run the girls has busted out of the clink and wants his property back.

Through him she meets Jacob, who uses copious amounts of weed in order to be constructive in this gloomy world. On the other hand, this destroys his short-term memory - and he forgets that he already has a girlfriend. The disappointed Hanka runs to her parents, only to find some twenty-odd Japanese tourists watching her parents eat their dinner...

Embittered widower, Ludvik, spends his nights transporting illegal refugees in his van from Croatia, across Slovenia, and into Italy. The young and inexperienced Rudi acts as his helpmate. Together they become a well-trained duo who almost every night convey "spare parts" to Italy. Of course the story of their illegitimate exports into Europe ends tragically, for everyone. The whole idea of this account is that everyone - including ourselves - is looking for happiness: the "spare parts" because of the misery they are plunged into without, and our characters because they can't find it inside.

Because of a doctor's strike, Ivan is released a day early from an alcoholic treatment program. He returns to his wife Sonja and his 16-year-old son Robi. His first afternoon at home is pleasant. Coincidentally or not, the prince-bull finds himself in the laboratory of professor Rozina, where he becomes the subject of professor's research. And here the story of evolution and anti-evolution interweave.

Peter is in his early forties and until recently he worked in a factory, but after Slovenia's integration into the European Union, the factory closed down and Peter and his colleagues have been made redundant. He takes a rope and when the rope is tightening around his neck a doorbell rings. By mere coincidence a neighbor, who just wanted to borrow some coffee, saves his life. One day, on his way home, he finds all his neighbors, scared and worried, in front of the house. He learns that gas has been leaking in the cellar. Fire fighters should have arrived already, but they got stuck in a traffic jam. Peter does not hesitate; he runs into the building and manages to shut down the main valve not knowing that this will change his life...

The destiny unites two homeless men in the S.O.S. canteen. A failed actor and lost poet begin telling each other the key events from their lives. After an extraordinary twist we become aware that the two men are popular and will participate in a film experiment on the Moon.
