- One of the most disastrous fires in the history of Chicago was the recent conflagration in the stockyards district in which over 500 people were rendered homeless and many lost their lives in the roaring, seething cauldron of flames, which stubbornly resisted the efforts of the fire department. It occurred in "Whiskey Point," a ramshackle tenement district in the outskirts of the Union Stockyards, the largest in the world. There is the spectacular work of the firemen, the falling walls, the flames shooting hundreds of feet in the air, illuminating the sky for many miles. There are scenes of horror, depicting the grief of the poor victims, being rendered homeless by the devouring element, the hasty removing of household effect from the tumble-down dwellings and the miraculous escapes from danger of those fleeing from the flames or fighting the blaze.
- Shows that famous old fire fighter, Chief Sweenie, and a whole battalion of fire fighters dashing madly down Michigan Avenue. This is a good picture and a great hit wherever shown.
- This picture is one of the most novel ever presented in motion photography. The film shows the fire boat at work with all of the nozzles in full play and the effects of the columns of water rising from the bow of the boat is grand. The action of the wind causes the columns to spray out until they look like bunches of feathers blowing in the wind.

- The teaming of the legendary groups Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire created the tour hit of summer 2004. Playing to sold-out venues, the Grammy-winning artists were united on stage for a set of energetic performances of their numerous number 1 and Top 10 chart hits. All the excitement from the final show of the tour was captured in high-definition for this extraordinary DVD, filmed in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre.
- This film created a demand for itself unknown in the moving picture business. We were the only firm who made a reproduction thereof, and the supply was by no means equal to the demand for the first two weeks after the catastrophe occurred. It is a remarkable picture, full of excitement from start to finish. Of course, the picture opens with a spiritual fire run, followed by one of the most thrilling life rescues ever witnessed, after which the fire laddies are seen on the roofs of adjoining buildings throwing streams of water on the burning structure, and ends with the street scene black with smoke. A very effective picture.
