- Writer and broadcaster Dave Cull was born in Invercargill, New Zealand. He studied at that city's Southland Boys' High School. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Otago University in Dunedin, he worked in the building industry, during which time he appeared as an expert in several television programmes relating to home renovation. He combines his work on television with duties in local body politics, and has been Mayor of Dunedin since 2010. He is married with two daughters.

David Auld Kilgour is a New Zealand musician, best known as a founder member (along with his brother Hamish Kilgour) of Dunedin-based indie rock group The Clean, of which he is guitarist and vocalist. He has also been a member of other groups, notably The Great Unwashed, and has recorded several solo albums under his own name. He has appeared as himself in various cinematic and television productions.- Emily Procter is a native of Raleigh, N.C. who attended East Carolina University. "I tried to get in the theatre department," she says, "but it was full." After graduation, however, she moved to Los Angeles and landed a number of small roles in films such as Jerry Maguire (1996). "Then I got the chance to audition for The West Wing (1999) and I got the part," she says.
- Jeff Wilson is a noted New Zealand sportsman, appearing for both the national Rugby team (the "All Blacks") and the national cricket team - one of very few people to have competed internationally in both codes for New Zealand. He has appeared as himself in various sports-related cinematic and television releases, most notably as the "rugby legend" in "Scarfies".
- Rodney Hide is a former New Zealand politician. Born in Canterbury in the South Island in 1956, he studied zoology and botany at the University of Canterbury and resource management at Lincoln College before taking up a teaching position at Lincoln. He later completed a masters in economics at Montana State University. From 1993, Hide worked as an economist in Auckland before entering politics with the new ACT Party. He entered parliament as an MP in 1996 and remained there until 2011, initially as a list member and later as constituency member for Epsom. He was leader of the ACT Party from 2004 to 2011, and served as Minister of Local Government and Regulatory Reform as part of a coalition government led by Prime Minister John Key from 2008 to 2011.
Hide has been married twice, to Jiuan Jiuan (1983-2007) and to Louise Crome (since 2010). He has four children.
