Tense But No Scare
8 July 2023
Sarah Snook gives a wonderful performance as a mother on edge.

Unfortunately, the pacing is slow, and there isn't a lot of scare going on, which makes for a really slow movie set to eerie music. The movie bets on the ending (set to slow motion), hoping that the final realization through audience participation makes the movie. Sadly, the ending isn't earth shattering enough to make the movie.

The premise is that a mother and daughter live together. Something eerie is happening to the daughter, tied to the mother's messed up past concerning her family.

The production is decent. The actors do well teyong to sell the story. It's just the lack of depth in the plot / script... so what ends up is that we must sit through 2 hours before we realize the one family secret.
